Storm and Hail Damage Inspections
Severe weather can affect more than one part of a property. Wind and hail may affect roofing materials, siding, windows, gutters and other exterior components. Pro Installations provides storm-related inspections to help homeowners understand visible exterior conditions and determine what construction work may be appropriate.
What to Do After a Storm
If conditions are safe, note when the storm occurred and photograph visible damage from the ground. Missing shingles, displaced exterior materials, damaged gutters and interior water stains can all be useful information.
Avoid climbing onto a wet, steep or visibly damaged roof.
Complete Exterior Inspection
Where appropriate, we inspect accessible roofing and related exterior systems instead of concentrating on only one visible problem. This can be particularly useful when wind or hail may have affected roofing, siding, windows and gutters during the same storm.
Insurance Claim Documentation
If an insurance claim has already been filed, our team can document observed damage, meet with the adjuster where appropriate and compare the carrier scope with the construction requirements.
Supported omitted items can be referred to our Supplements Department. Insurance coverage and payment decisions remain with the carrier.
Emergency Storm Protection
If storm damage has created an opening and water is actively entering the property, call 314-528-7777. Temporary protection may be available when weather and site conditions allow safe access.
